A precise fit supports comfort, proportion and the intended character of every jewel.
Measure in millimetres, repeat the measurement and consider how the construction of the jewel influences the way it will be worn.
Ring size is most reliably determined by the inner circumference of a well fitting ring or by measuring the intended finger. The ISO convention expresses ring size as inner circumference in millimetres.
Measure the exact finger on the hand where the ring will be worn. The same finger can differ between the left and right hand.
Measure near the end of the day when the hands are at a normal temperature.
Take at least two measurements on separate occasions before ordering.
Choose the larger size unless the design or a LAREINE adviser indicates otherwise.
Conversions between national systems are approximate. Manufacturing tolerances, ring width and local sizing conventions can produce small differences.

Wide bands generally feel tighter than narrow bands. Ring stacks, sculptural forms and rings with a heavy central stone may require a different size. Contact LAREINE before ordering if the design is wide, rigid or intended to be worn as part of a stack.
Flexible bracelets are selected from wrist circumference and the preferred amount of movement. Rigid bangles require an additional measurement because the hand must pass through the opening.
Wrap a soft tape closely around the wrist at the point where the bracelet will sit. Record the wrist circumference without adding space. The appropriate allowance is then selected according to the preferred fit and the construction of the bracelet.
Bring the thumb toward the little finger as if passing the hand through a bangle. Measure around the widest part of the compressed hand. Compare this measurement with the internal circumference or diameter stated for the specific bangle.
Minimal movement. Suitable only when the design and clasp allow comfortable wear.
A balanced everyday fit for many flexible chain and link bracelets.
Greater movement on the wrist. Consider the weight and profile of the jewel.
Do not apply a simple chain bracelet allowance to cuffs or oval structured bracelets. Their opening, internal shape and intended position on the wrist must be considered individually. Refer to the dimensions of the specific creation or ask LAREINE Client Services.
Necklace length is measured from end to end, including the clasp. The final position depends on neck circumference, height, body proportions, clothing and the weight of the pendant.
Use a ribbon or string cut to the stated necklace length and place it around the neck. If a pendant will be added, attach an object of similar weight to understand how the chain may settle.
A measurement guide is indicative. The final size should reflect the precise construction, intended styling and personal comfort.
Fingers and wrists can change with temperature, activity and time of day. Avoid measuring when the hands are unusually cold, hot or swollen.
Measure a jewel already worn comfortably by the recipient. Confirm that it fits the same finger, wrist position or preferred necklace placement.
Some eternity rings, complex settings, engraved pieces, rigid bracelets and stone intensive designs cannot be resized or have a limited adjustment range.
